Utah National Guard

The Utah National Guard and what does it consist of? If they wear US Army and US Air Force uniforms, why is their Commander in Chief the Governor and not the President? We used to call them Weekend Warriors and they were known more for their card games and beer drinking than being able to support our military in combat. The last 30 years of domestic and international crises has changed the nature and role of your National Guard in its role in the state and in support of our military. COL Paul Peters, the Operations Officer for the Utah Army National Guard, will give us glimpse into what your Utah National Guard consists of today, what their last 20 years have been about and how they are still being heavily used around the world to support any and all military operations, as well as advance military and diplomatic relations with the country of Morocco.
