McLeod Creek Needs Our Help

Saturday, 7/17, 8:00am - 10:00am, please join Rotarian Insa Riepen on a service project for just two hours to remove invasive garlic mustard.

This native to Europe is found in deciduous forests and wetlands (like Insa), along roadsides, and in disturbed areas. It thrives in shady sites, and can form dense stands. Garlic mustard is suspected of chemically inhibiting the growth of other nearby plants and is toxic to some native butterflies.

Saturday, we will walk the creek, remove the garlic mustard, and put them into 5-gallon buckets, dump buckets into bags, and give them to Park City Municipal crews to destroy. This is an important local environmental project. Come join us to help!

When: Saturday, July 17, 8-10 a.m.
Where: Creekside Park, 2392 Holiday Ranch Loop Rd, PC
Bring: Yourself, a friend, garden gloves, garden clippers, 5-gallon bucket(s)
