Club News
The Park City Rotary Club has named two distinguished individuals of the mountain community as its Citizens of the Year. The Linda Singer-Berrett Professional Citizen of the Year was awarded to Summit County Health Director Rich Bullough. The Jack C. Green Volunteer Citizen of the Year was presented to longtime community volunteer Karen Marriott.
Two of the most vital support services in our community during the coronavirus pandemic have been the Christian Center of Park City food pantry and St. Mary’s Food Bank. They have provided a vital lifeline to thousands in Summit and Wasatch Counties. Due to coronavirus restrictions, though, drop offs of food had been halted with little ability to replenish the pantries. But on Saturday, May 2, the Park City Rotary Club held a contactless five-hour food collection at Outlets Park City (formerly Tanger Outlet Mall).

Clean Air in Utah

Thom Carter, Exec. Dir. of UCAIR - Utah Clean Air Partnership

Air quality is a significant concern for Utah residents. The state’s topography and climate lead to episodic air pollution during the winter and summer months. Seasonal temperature inversions trap emissions that form particulate matter and ozone. Complex chemical processes create these harmful pollutants, which often rise to unhealthy levels, posing public health risks, economic consequences and decreased quality of life. Utah Clean Air Partnership aims to educate and advocate Utahns on clean air.
